Embrace a design aesthetic that gives form to visuals with personal resonance. We create interiors that are serene, storied, and profoundly human. Below are samples of room compositions we've recently created by client request.
The Client Brief - Custom Room Composition:
A dining room rooted in the surrounding landscape.
Our client recently purchased a home nestled at the edge of the woods. While the architecture offered a clean foundation, the interiors felt anonymous and lacked the warmth, permanence, and quiet sense of place she hoped her home would embody. Like many newly built homes, the dining room arrived as a blank page: bright, functional, and waiting for a story. Our goal was to replace anonymity with atmosphere, creating a room that feels grounded in the surrounding woods and rich with understated character.

Bathed in natural light and surrounded by woodland, the home possessed all the makings of something special. The composition we created is inspired by Appalachian landscapes, honest materials, and the quiet restraint of Helmut Lang. The room is grounded by a substantial reclaimed wood table and is wrapped in a softly striped banquette that invites people to settle in. Woven textures, mushroom colored walls and sculptural lighting create a peaceful backdrop where the rituals of everyday life can become the room's most beautiful design element.
A Nature-Inspired Dining Room

The Client Brief - Custom Room Composition
A space that offers a nervous system reset.
In a home increasingly filled with notifications, schedules, and screens, the client wanted one room that asked for nothing in return. Designed as a personal retreat, we created a custom room composition to encourage slower rituals and support calm rather than stimulation.

Most spaces in a home are for doing. This one is for stopping. A woven lounge chair that lets you actually settle in. Warm, low lighting from a floor lamp and perforated pendant that shares soft, ambient light that scatters gently across the room.
Rather than filling the room with technology or productivity, the design celebrates analog comforts: a generous lounge chair, books within reach, warm light, natural textures, and artwork that draws the eye toward the landscape. Inspired by the quiet rhythms of the natural world, the room offers permission to pause, breathe, and simply be.
The Do-Nothing Room

The Client Brief - Sourcing Request:
This client finds deep pleasure in watching birds move through the landscape and wanted us to create a small but cohesive moment in their home to support this activity even during winter months, when time outdoors is limited.
We made thoughtful suggestions for updating an indoor observation point that is both cozy and visually connected. A neutral chaise offers a comfortable recline for lingering, while a nearby table keeps binoculars and a journal within easy reach for recording sightings. A handwoven pillow in earthy browns and greens echoes the colors of the natural world just beyond the glass. More than a seat by the window, the nook becomes a quiet reminder of the client’s values: to slow down, notice beauty, and remain attentive to the living world.

The Client Brief - Sourcing Request:
A client who loves to read but lives in a home where space is limited wanted ideas on how to carve out a quiet corner dedicated to thoughtful time with books. We sourced materials that helped transform an undefined area to a small reading nook that supports sustained attention.
A deep cream chair invites the reader to settle in, while warm agate artwork introduces color and natural texture. Pendant lighting creates a pool of soft illumination overhead, and an acrylic magazine holder keeps the surrounding visual field calm and uncluttered. Nearby, a handmade ceramic pour-over set marks the small transition of preparing coffee before settling into a good text. The result is a modest corner that quietly supports one of the client’s most valued habits: the pleasure of reading without interruption.
